Boris Diaw Day Part 3: YouTubes

Boris Diaw Day continues with the third and final installment, featuring YouTubes of Boris. For anyone who missed the first two, Part 1 is here and Part 2 is here.

First up is a mix suggested via e-mail by jasonsuns1. This one focuses a lot on the "dish" part of Boris's "drive, dish, defend" motto. Notice who most of those passes are going to. (That would be you #31!):

Next up, we have another one sent by jasonsuns1, this time featuring more of the "dunk" (not officially part of Boris's 3D moniker, but maybe it should be?), and other varieties of scoring:

Here is Boris making a poster of that German guy who plays for the Mavericks:

Last, here is possibly my favorite 3D play to date. Boris passes it over his head to Amare:

Poll
Which player should we feature next?
  • Steve Nash
  • Grant Hill
  • Brian Skinner
  • Somebody else (let me know in the comments)

These videos are why the guy is so frustrating.  He can do it, he just didn't do it last year.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.  He will have a bigger role in the post with KT, so maybe he'll rise to the occassion.  Who knows?

JSun....
yep, a lot of people, me included couldn't agree with you more. I really think the chemistry (team relations among players) took a dive last year, mainly Amare and Marion, and, as Nash said, Diaw thrives in a good environment, and it wasn't a good environment. Look at the Laker games during the playoffs and Nash calling out Marion (not by name) etc, I MEAN IT'S THE FREAKING PLAYOFFS, AND SOME OF OUR TEAM JUST WASN'T UP FOR IT, to his credit, Marion did have many great moments after that.

Nothing tougher to watch, than to know your team has a player who can really kick butt, but rarely does due to mental side of the game, etc.

I loved the dunk over Dirk, and the pass to Amare video was simply awesome!

Dominant Finesse
Its so strange how one's game his generaly passive, yet still so devestating! His movements are so fluid and manicuried it just has to be French. Does 3D need to be a bulldog? Not every game, but he needs to keep his focus on the team's success and drop the French poodle and pick up the German shepard when the time comes around.
My favorite 3D move is when he's backed up on the post, then he jukes toward the paint, then procceds to whip the ball behind him to the basket. I've been trying to duplicate that move for some time but I'm just too damn small (and unathletic).
If ya can't jump 'em out, then box 'em out!

my favorite clip
Here's my favorite diaw moment. I'm not sure if it was in any of the videos but I didn't see it. This one (at :55 seconds) is Diaw's game winner at Dallas in the western conference finals in 2006. Partly my favorite because he is being aggressive offensively and partly because he nails the game winner against the hated mavs.

Also included in the video is Raja's game winner against the Clips at 1:10 and Tim Thomas' game winner versus the Lakes at :42.

WARNING:  Do not watch the video at :30, 2:04, and 2:24 because somehow 3 gamewinners from Kobe made the clips even though he was in only 1 playoff series.

Oops!!
I totally forgot about that buzzer-beater against Dallas. That's probably my real favorite as well (although I still love that over-the-head pass too). And nice comments from everyone as well. Keep them coming and we just might end up needing a Part 4 this time.

BTW, Does anybody know how to edit YouTubes? Maybe we could just make a separate video called "Suns Buzzer-beaters of 2005-06" or something without all the Kobe stuff in there?
