"Amare Day" Continues
No self-respecting Amare Day would be complete without some YouTube highlights of the man himself. If you're reading this from work, you might want to put on your headphones or mute the volume. Wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble with the boss.
First, a top-10 from last season:
Amare in a high school slam dunk contest:
The famous Nash-to-Amare "header dunk" from the 2005 All Star Dunk contest:
Last, one of the many, many "Amare Mix" videos on YouTube. This one has plays from both before and after the "lost" year. I picked it for that reason, and because I liked the music. The lyrics kind of fit with a lot of the "life story" comments Amare makes to the media about how God and religion have played a role in seeing him through the tough times.
Still can't get enough YouTubes of Amare? Go here for about 1600 more of them.

I guess there's a first time for everything
And, sometimes, one can just be having a bad day and over-react to what others write.

Music
- The music was great. Who's the artist so I can download it on iTunes?
- I was more impressed seeing highlights when he was wearing number 1 as opposed to number 32 -- it made me feel better.
- I'm a little concerned because he did look more explosive wearing #32.
- A couple of his better highlight dunks (both wearing #1) looked like soccer plays -- Nash drove to the middle and Stoudemire overlapped from behind and received a lead pass. I don't know whether that's a common play in basketball, but it's a stand-by in soccer. Maybe STAT playing soccer over the summer will help him understand Nash even better.

Mmmmmmmmm.....
I like cheerleaders well enough, but Guinness is way better. Let's compromise and invite the dancers to have a Guinness with us while we watch Suns clips.
